With holiday number one under our belt, we're on to Thanksgiving prep and planning! Order your pies & other Thanksgiving sweets soon... it's an early one this year! THANKSGIVING IS THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 25. We roast and puree all of our pumpkins; peel and slice pounds and pounds of heirloom apples, and pour a whole lot of bourbon into those pecan pies. All butter crust holds these amazing ingredients in, ready to be sliced and topped with your fluffy (homemade, please!) whipped cream. Looking for something more nutritionally specific? Try our decadent pumpkin chocolate chip cake (vegan + gluten conscious), our sweet potato molasses cake (vegan + gluten conscious), or our honey rye apple cider cake (dairy free) this year.

Breakfast goods, scone & biscuit dough, and pie dough abound as well!

We're on a Short Retail Break!

A quick update for Batter friends & fans! We are taking a short retail break. As many of you know, the kiosk has been closed since March 2020. We will be closing the Pine Street retail shop temporarily for a short retail break to regroup. Please check back for updates on reopening soon!

In the meantime, we are happy to accommodate special order pickups daily from 8am-2pm while we are in the kitchen. Email info@batterbakery.com to order. Please also visit us at the Saturday Ferry Plaza Farmers Market 8am-2pm for a huge selection of goods, including seasonal items, nutritionally specific favorites, and more! Home delivery is still available through Good Eggs as always!

Make your celebrations extra beautiful this year with stunning cakes and seasonal treats. Flower-topped celebration cakes, berry upside down cakes, seasonal jam thumbprints, shortbread tartlets, fruit-forward quickbread loaves… we love to make treats to help you mark that special occasion.

Signs of Spring

The days are getting longer. The afternoons are feeling warmer. Tulips are appearing at the market! As signs of spring appear each year, our excitement for the return of spring produce begins. As much as we love citrus and pumpkin, there is nothing like the appearance of those first strawberries.

One of our transition-season favorites? Carrot ginger bread. This moist, dense loaf alternates star position with pumpkin bread for half the year. Farm fresh carrot puree gives this a familiar texture and crumb, with a pop of candied ginger on top, and warm spices throughout. Perfect for breakfast, snack, or dessert, with a dollop of yogurt or whipped cream, and a show-stopping addition to your Easter table!
